I grew up in Oklahoma and got my chemical engineering degree at Tulsa University. I joined Shell Oil Company after college and spent the next 40 years working in engineering, management and consulting in Texas, Louisiana, and Michigan. I have two daughters and two granddaughters who mostly live in Texas. After retirement, I eventually moved to Georgetown’s Sun City in February 2013 with my wife Ann Myers.
I had attended a few classes at UCOH in Austin and discovered Unity of Georgetown when we were still meeting in Sun City at the Cowen Creek Center. The warm reception and the loving and caring spiritual attitude I found at UOG convinced me to become a member in 2013. I have been a greeter at church and have been helping to set up and take down the sound system for our Sunday services over the past few years. I also help arrange the Unity Men’s Group bimonthly luncheons.
I have served on church and community boards in the past and I’m currently on the boards of the Sun City Nature Club and the Williamson Audubon Society. I would be glad to use some of my experience and talent to help out on the Unity of Georgetown board.

I came to Unity in 1995, where I began working as the administrative assistant to the minister within 3 months of first attending the church. As the admin, I prepared weekly bulletins, the order of service, newsletters, etc. Served as volunteer ministry coordinator, and on various planning committees for retreats, fundraisers, and classes. Prepared class materials and led a couple of classes. As an employee of the church, I was not allowed to serve on the board. However, I worked closely with all of the board members to prepare for their meetings (financial reports, agendas, minutes, etc.). I also attended Unity continuing education courses in Sacramento and San Jose. I later served as VP of the MARY Foundation (Making the Arts Real for Youth), and worked at Safe Passage, a non-profit which provided assistance to abused women and their children. I am familiar with the requirements of by-laws, job descriptions, meeting minutes, etc., as well as the necessity for tracking donations, sending annual statements and other considerations. I have over 35 years of office administration and computer experience. I love to read and love on my granddaughters.

Born in Niagara Falls, New York, the oldest of five brothers I have spent a lifetime as a teacher, author, business executive and entrepreneurial leader. I have always been a “seeker of truth” with a constant curiosity about all aspects of life. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Physics; and did doctoral studies in educational psychology.
After my work in higher education, I moved on to be a trainer, educator, author, and executive in national real estate franchising – first with Century 21 and later with Keller Williams. I moved from Upstate New York to North Texas in 1988.
I am married to Gina Waterfield and we moved to Georgetown in June of 2018. In September of 2018 we joined the Unity Church of George. Between us, we have had 8 children, 23 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren (they are obviously mine, since Gina is too young to have great grandchildren).
My seeking has ultimately led me to the Unity Church. I am very much in sync with its open consideration of Christ Consciousness and our personal Connection to God. I am honored to facilitate the Unity Church of Georgetown Men’s Group; and have been pleased to serve on the Board of Trustees, since this past spring. As part of my research and writing, I have developed “The Seven Incarnations of God” which offers a unity of science and spirituality. I hope to turn it into a book and a series of lectures.
