About Unity

What is Unity? Located in beautiful Central Texas, just north of Austin, we are a community of faith seeking to grow in our awareness of the “kingdom within.”  In interpreting scripture, we explore the inner, metaphysical meanings for practical ways to apply these teachings to our daily lives.  We believe in the power of prayer and affirm the need to “Be still,” by engaging in a regular meditation practice. We are a community of love and acceptance. We believe that every person who walks through our doors is a beloved child of God. We honor the insights, wisdom, and inspirations of all religions and spiritual traditions, using these gifts to illumine our own religious roots and to enliven our spiritual practice. Whether you’ve been a part of a church for 70 years, or you’ve never set foot in one, we welcome your voice, your questions, and your faith. We would love to have you join us on Sunday morning!  

1.  GOD IS. There is only one Presence and one Power active as the universe and as my life, God the Good.  
2.  I AM. Our essence is of God; therefore, we are inherently good. This God essence, called the Christ, was fully expressed in Jesus.  
3.  I THINK IT. We are co-creators with God, creating reality through thoughts held in mind.   
4.  I PRAY IT. Through prayer and meditation, we align our heart-mind with God. Denials and affirmations are tools we use.  
5.  I LIVE IT. Through thoughts, words and actions, we live the Truth we know.
