SUNDAY SERVICE 10:30 AM -- WELCOMING ALL PATHS TO SPIRIT
We feel that while children need age appropriate lessons and activities, they also benefit from experiencing the ritual and spiritual practices of the adult service.
So, children begin the service with their parents and the rest of the congregation in the sanctuary.
After brief announcements, prayer and song the children are invited to join the Teachers and Helpers and are escorted to their classroom for a time of age appropriate learning and fun.
The Unity curriculum called All Together Now, is a multi-age program for a one room Sunday School to guide small groups in exploring Unity’s core beliefs.
It is a format for a wide age-range of children to explore spiritual ideas together. It incorporates fun and memorable activities involving the entire group.
Unfortunately, we are not equipped to handle infants. Our program and facility are appropriate for only toddlers to tweens, but we welcome infants and/or teenagers in our regular service.
Two adults are required each week for the Children’s Program, per Unity standards and best practice. All our Unity Teachers and Helpers have passed background checks and are regular members of our congregation.
Toward the end of the service, the children are invited back into the sanctuary to share in the offering prayer and receive a blessing from the congregation, then once again join their parents for our closing song and prayers.
