The NEST Empowerment Center

The NEST Empowerment Center is a safe haven after the bell rings. This 10 year program of The Georgetown Project is providing a safe haven after school for Georgetown ISD teens who are homeless, at-risk or in need of resources such as evening meals, a quiet place for homework, school supplies, homework help, job readiness training, connection to community resources other supportive, therapeutic, and enrichment services provided in a positive environment with caring adults. They offer community service opportunities weekly during the calendar school year to GISD high school students.

If you have a heart to serve and your time is more flexible we would love to have you as a volunteer at the Van! We serve Monday-Thursday 3pm-4pm at the parking lot and then we take the van to a location and serve the remaining brown bag meals AND family pantry bags before returning to the lot around 4:45pm.

Every Sunday we arrange a Community Dinner at the 8th Street Parking Lot across from the Public Library serving 70-75 meals! A meal includes the protein, sides, dessert and water.

These types of donations can be delivered to the office anytime during operating hours at 1100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Georgetown, TX 78628 anytime during operating hours (Monday-Thursday, 10am-2pm) or to the Van at the 8th Street Parking Lot (across from the Library) Monday-Thursday 3pm-4pm. Please make sure items are in date and not opened or damaged. You can also send through the Helping Hands Amazon WishList!
