Bucket of Hope

Each week we collect items at our Sunday service to give to local groups serving people in our area who could use a little help. This quarter we are supporting Annunciation Maternity Home.

Annunciation Maternity Home is the only Nationally Accredited maternity home in Texas licensed to provide free services to young women who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. Located in Georgetown, Texas, Annunciation can assist up to 29 young women, and their children, during pregnancy and for up to two years after the birth of her baby.

Since 2001, Annunciation Maternity Home has helped over 1,000 mothers and babies.  For young women in crisis pregnancies, and their children, they offer exceptional housing, educational opportunities, and access to health services to empower them in their journey toward independence.

Our recipient for August through October will be The Caring Place.   They are in desperate need of Cereal of all kinds, Canned corn and Canned tuna
Any canned goods are fine, but they need the three listed here.

Tithing Update

Unity Church of Georgetown is a tithing church. We believe in the principle of tithing and have asked our Benevolence Committee to make recommendations as to which organizations we should take into consideration when allocating our church’s monthly tithes.

The Benevolence Committee recommended to the Board to tithe to the following organizations: Unity Worldwide Ministries, Silent Unity, Food for Friends, HOPE Alliance and The Caring Place. We will make year-end contributions to Reindeer Run and Operation Warm.
